Eddie’s Attic Open Mic Night

17 Mar

Well, we didn’t win, but we had a great time.  There were talented songwriters from all over the USA, Canada and even England that played Monday night.  It’s always an honor to play Eddie’s stage, because we consider it the #1 acoustic venue in the United States.  Period.

…and yes, Tunnell spoke in tongues during Letters Home.

…and yes, Eiland thought that he wouldn’t need a capo for the songs, so he left in his case.

Anyway, here’s the video.  We played Just to Fly and then played Letters Home.  It is what it is… enjoy.

So, Wil Hodge (who does the music booking for S@TH) was doing some promo video shots with the different musicians that play there.  As you can tell, we’re natural talents.

Letters Home – The Songwriters’ Story

Letters Home – The Songwriters’ Story

Letters Home – The songwriter’s story

The first part of letters home was written in treyT’s front lawn on a warm Saturday morning last spring (May 30th to be exact).  The girls were playing and treyT had just read a story about soldiers being killed before they are able to come home and see their children that were born while they are deployed.  treyT (me) was raised in a house of women (mom and sister) and I am emotional… so sue me. (more…)

Soooo, we are in this contest

11 Mar

At least we think we are. We won’t be able to see anything until March 15th, so we have no idea if we made the cut yet.  We entered “Letters Home” in the contest with the hopes of it getting to Trace Adkins or at the very least, getting to someone who will want to take it further than Trey E’s basement.

If you’re so inclined (and haven’t yet succumbed to the pressure of our Facebook and/or Twitter pleading, you can go here to listen to the song and subsequently let them know how awesome it would be to hear it on the radio.  You know that we uncomfortably love all of you in almost (but not quite) weird stalker way, so just click on the image below, give us 4 pie slices and no one gets hurt.

Vote for my songs on Zoxsy.com

Quick note for all you musicians and or indie music lovers out there.  This website is called Zoxsy and is very cool for song writers like us.  The main reason it’s cool is that the person who started the site (Justin Blaney) is a musician who seems to understand the thought process of struggling musicians everywhere.  Namely, how can I get my music heard?  Well, we like what he’s got going over there.  I suspect that he’s got some “premium” options coming soon, so if you’re a musician looking to jump on board while it’s still free, ya betta go now!  For even more Zoxsy social interaction than you can handle, go to any of these: Facebook, Myspace, Bebo, Twitter, YouNoodle, Tradevibes.

Welcome to our website…

No, we don’t know what to put in here and don’t even know who would read it if we did.

However, I’m sure we’ll think of something… we work best under pressure.
